Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,

of the dead. None who go to her return or attain the paths of

The book of Proverbs is a collection of wise saying from King
Solomon. They are general truisms that give a blueprint for wise
living, contrasted with folly, or foolishness. As you know by experience,
and as Proverbs points out, sex and lust have an unlimited capacity
to make us walk on “all-fours,” sniffing for the scent
of the female of the species. This is called folly.
Supplementing whatever else you are doing in your devotional times;
try to spend some time each day in Proverbs as you journey toward
purity. More than anything, it stirs your soul and passions, to
desire wisdom and loathe the way of folly, which is lust. Start
today in Proverbs 1, and write down your thoughts in your journal.
